Okay first thing first.
I have given up on two things 1- HMMM. First fan fic and 2- My attempt at 50 themes around Naruto and Gaara, I just not getting any inspiration, plus I've been loaded up to the top with school stuff.
Now second things second, I intend to continue Jake and Ron, but I won't upload anything for awhile, alas school sucks all the protein and imagination from my mind.
Third things third, I am going to mention a few mangas which I whole-heartedly enjoy and why . . . if you are currently looking for some, well, here you go ^^ I find myself listing only shounen . . .
MY SHOUNEN TOP TEN.
1. Naruto
Of course, I will not go into reason for this, the fact that it just Naruto is good enough for anyone who knows the name.
2. Bloody Monday.
Okay however violent it may be, the idea behind it is wonderful and the main character ain't just some tough guy beating the shit out of people, nor its the strategist bheind it, he really is a unique one and that's what I liked about it.
3.Psyren
I'm not sure if this is as popular with some people, but I'm pretty sure it should be a fairly well known shounen, if you don't know about it I advise you read it, the idea behind it is mind boggling and the plot keeps you guessing - like any good manga should.
4. Alive - The Final Evolution
Again I say, yes, it is violent, but violent in a good way . . . well . . . okay, maybe a bad way but its a excellent manga. For a while if you have read the horror manga Parasyte you will undoubtably be reminded of it, but the longer you go into the story the more absorbed and addicted you grow as well.
5. Mirai Nikki
Gosh, what can I say? This is wonderful . . . in all sense of the word. I just can't say anything else about it otherwise I might not do it justice. It's heart-wrenching at times, roll on the floor in laughter at times and just plain at the edge of your seat action more than most of the time. The main character grows and grows and his love interest gets more complex, but the thrilling thing behind it is the fact that no one that dies deserves to and that there is always a reason behind the surface value - it relates to my own writing style and perhaps that's why I enjoy it so much.
6. Akumetsu
Ahh, yes, this one. Yeah, well . . . I think I'll just put a (V) next to the titles now if it is violent, writing it so much is irritating. Another interesting psycological one, but vengefully so. About revenge of the highest cause with some science and interesting political views mixed in. For lovers of Death Note, this is a very gore filled and more horrible, but meaningful version of it.
7. Holyland (V)
Now, this one makes me smile in reminiscence. Wonderful to read and so related to ones own feelings that its amazing. You also learn quite a lot in this manga as well. Me? I learned that kicking without your hip is stupid and to never throw punches without aiming - its easy to damage your own hand. This is a very conniving close to the human emotion manga filled with sympathy for the protagonist and even the antagonist has his own story.
8. Liar Game
Interesting from start to current latest update, though it IS a shounen, its more based around the girl and it is very thought engaging and lets you look at life from the eyes of a genius even for a blink of a second. and for a con-artist genius taking down a con-artist company, this is sure to be full of wondefulness. (I am sure that's not a word.)
9. Bakuman
Alas, who wouldn't want to know how mangakas actually work? This shows, however dramafied, a manag about mangakas trying to survive in the manga world and fulfil their dreams, also features with a side of romance and a heavy drizzle of hilarious laughing moments. And yes, it appears I do like mangas with humour in them.
10. Angel Densetsu
Yes, old I know, but hilarious thought provoking and a very light (as in feel good, not short) read. It makes you want to rehtink the way you see other people, because in truth, after reading this story, you'll realise that appearance are only skin deep. Further down there's someone unique and individual waiting to be found.
I could go onto SHOUJO, but I think I'll do that later, besides shounen kicks more ass.
And if anyone thinks that I've missed something that should be in the top ten please go ahead and tell me and I'll see if it really deserves to be there *evil smirk*
MAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!
